In this piece, a simple clamp-resist was used to obtain a pattern of stripes, reminiscent of symbols, like a language. The colour palette was limited in order to emphasize the graphic aspect of the composition. The discharge process inverts the figure/ground relationship, contributing to the reading of different planes. Red, an intruder in the colour palette, is used for interest, movement and balance.
