DESIERTO - detail
In this piece the fabric was dyed in black, clamp-resisted and discharged to obtain a mustard colour. The interest of the composition resides in the trace left by the pressed mesh held between the boards, reserving more black colorant where the pressure was greatest, and almost disappearing where it was weaker. It is reminiscent of the patterns encountered in a desert landscape.
