The patterns in this piece have a blurred quality, as if being out of focus. There is a superposition of defined areas and blurred areas. This is the result of a clamp-resist shibori using a mesh and folds in the cloth, which is a very fine and open linen weave. The colour was used as a tint, to emphasize the patterns left by the mesh, which recall frosted surfaces.
