The design is obtained by binding threads parallel to each other around a pole (called “arashi shibori” in Japanese), resulting in lines similar to those drawn with a fine pen in a drawing. The patterns are reminiscent of the surface of the ocean, where both fine lines and blurred mist are found.The dominant colour is blue. Red is introduced to bring interest and movement to the composition.
