Window 1 - detail
The patterns created through clamp resist in the dyed cloth suggest a series of window panes. Light seems to penetrate through them and the diffuse edges evoke what we experience during glare, when it isn’t possible to focus the edge of the image. The stitching is used in a way reminiscent of sketching with a pencil, with its quick, spontaneous strokes. It reinforces the idea of a glass pane, where dust or may be frost has accumulated and is revealed by the path of light.
