CANTERA - detail
As a result of dyeing with reactive dyes, which requires thourough washing and rinsing, most of the three-dimensional qualities of shibori are lost. From the ironed cloth emerge patterns that, although abstract, evoke forms encountered in everyday life. This piece was woven with fine linen, clamp-resisted, and dyed with a monochrome palette. The effect is reminiscent of the silhouette of stones in a quarry.
