Each piece was woven with a tabby weave in a different colour of wool.Tea was used in a clamp-resist to dye the center of each square. A shadow appears sometimes at the perimeter, because of oxidation of the tea. The centre of these squares are reminiscent of a well, deep and dark against a brighter, sunlit surface.
